Found this nice album of Cricket Cards from about 1934. The album holds an entire set of 50 tobacco "cricketeers" -- Player's Cigarettes. Two cards are put in each insert, back-to-back.

So..... how come I've never seen one of these holding T206 cards? Anyone else ever seen a pre-war baseball card holder?

A fellow collector was in London last year and picked up a full set of 1938 Churchman's in a binder from a shop. The cards were inserted via black metal corner tabs (4) which, due to age, "indented" onto the cards. Killed the technical grade we are all slaves to now, but it was a pretty cool binder - I wish I had scans. Those blokes are inveterate collectors. Not much else to do there I guess...living in small apartments with their inlaws...it rains or snows most the time...warm beer...crappy food, links golf and foggy bottoms...

They also had many issues meant to be glued into the collector books issued for the cards. They actually look nice, but as stated before, it kills the technical grade of the cards.
