I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this piece. I bought it from a reputable antique auction without seeing it in person. It was advertised as an original painting, but I had my doubts. It arrived today and it does appear to be an original period painting. There is some minor chipping to the image as seen in the pictures. It appears to be the same portrait of Comiskey that was used on the 1889 A35 Goodwin Round Album Page of him (see picture).

My thoughts are the piece may be one of kind. If anyone has any information about the piece, it would be appreciated.
Thanks
Matt

Interesting that the portrait you have doesn't have the team name across the chest, but does have some of the auxiliary artwork found on the A35. Maybe they were both based of another piece?
