I just picked this up with a bunch of ticket stubs? Can anyone help me identify what this is and who the autograph is of? It measures 5.5 x 1.5. Thanks...Jeff

Hi Jeff,
Looks like a label that would go around a baseball box. The stamped signatures are JC O'toole and John Heydler.

Thanks Matt..that was what I thought...any idea of value? I thought that the O'Toole might be an actual signature.

I think it is the stamp for the baseballs that someone used to stamp your label. If you look at the stamped O'Toole signature from an International League Ball, the letter placement and spacing are EXACT. Still adds value to the label but I belive the ball stamper was used to make that signature.

NOTE, this is not my Baseball and is in the Live Hunts auction, I am only posting it for comparison.

The JC O'Toole stamp on the box band was used to distinguish an International League ball from a National League ball. The IL used the NL ball with with O'Toole's stampings.

I have a three panel band from the same era that I picked up on ebay for under $50. They make a nice display if you frame it up.
