I am not a PSA member (so can't check pops), nor do I have access to Vintage Price Guide. So, please question:
What is lower pop in PSA 7 and 8 grades - the 1951 Bowman Mays RC, or the 1954 Topps Aaron RC ?
And what is the value of the '51 Mays in PSA 7 and 8 - and the value of the '54 Aaron in PSA 7 and 8 ?
My guess is the '51 Mays RC is undervalued - maybe not ? And the 1954 Aaron is not undervalued - just my guess.
Thanks, steve
Here are the pop report numbers:
1951 Bowman Mays PSA 7: 92, PSA 8: 71
1954 Topps Aaron PSA 7: 299, PSA 8: 172
I don't have access to VCP prices, but here are the SMR values:
1951 Bowman Mays PSA 7: $3,200, PSA 8: $10,000
1954 Topps Aaron PSA 7: $1,600, PSA 8: $4,200
Hope this helps!

So, the 1951 Mays PSA 7 is roughly half the pop as 1954 Aaron PSA 8.
Yet the 1954 Aaron PSA 8 is worth more than the 1951 Mays PSA 7.
Interesting. Seems like more value to be had in a 1951 Mays PSA 7.
Thanks, steve
No problem, glad I could help!

1951 Bowman Willie Mays population psa 7 -112 psa 8 -75.
1954 Topps Henry Aaron population psa 7-363 psa 8 192.
I can’t find a solid price on them
But 9 years later it seems that the numbers have grow but not by much.
I wonder if this is all from resubmitting these cards. I know that the price have went up more then the pop lol. I hope the original poster bought both back then.

Aaron 54 Topps PSA 7 = $6,000 and PSA 8 = $22,000
Here are the pop report numbers:
1951 Bowman Mays PSA 7: 92, PSA 8: 71
1954 Topps Aaron PSA 7: 299, PSA 8: 172

Guys, the original question was asked 9 years ago. Of course the information is out of date.

Well thanks for the current prices Brian. Lol thanks for making this clear John.
So the prices went up nicely. This is only psa like I said before I wonder how many have been resubmitted or crossed over. In 9 years this would be a small
Amount of cards to come in to the hobby so the fact that even some of these are resubmitted show how scare a lot of these vintage rookie are .
