Posted By: Ricky Y
Since I've been collecting card types I have gone through various stages of focus..lately I've hunted down some regional food issues... finally got a couple of nice examples of Briggs and Esskay cards a few months back. I really like the looks of them!

Ricky Y

Posted By: Dan Bretta
In all my years of collecting Lincoln baseball memorabilia I'd never seen or heard of these until just this week. Weavers was a local potato chip company (RIP as of 2 months ago). There are what appears to be staple holes in the cards so I'm guessing they were stapled to the outside of a bag of potato chips. I talked to a few old-timers here in town about them this week and they don't remember these cards.

Posted By: Dan Bretta
They are either 1953 or 54...those are the only years Neill and Wright played for the Chiefs. I think they are probably 1953 - first year for the Lincoln Chiefs and there may have been enough excitement about that to make a baseball card set.
