Posted By: Suzy
Hi,
Back in November Todd Riley and Chuck Milburn helped immensely with a mystery on the non-sports cards forum. Now my husband has unearthed a pile of cardboard cut-out baseball cards that he says he's had since he was a little boy. So they must date back to the 60's (he is 49). I know he grew up on junk food so think they must be a promo from some such snack?

I have hunted on here, but haven't come up with what they could be...anybody out there know what these are? Looked a little like the hot dog one someone showed on here but that was from the 1950's.

They each measure about 1.5" x 2.75" - much smaller than the average card. They are blank brown cardboard on the back.

Thanks for ANYthing!

Posted By: Suzy
thanks, guys - as soon as I suggested Team Flakes to my husband, the memory of doing it came rushing back..."oh, yeah, I remember those - I ate 'em all the time!" Bummer that they are missing their yellow borders - he was 10 years old at time of cutting.

I went ahead and listed them all together on ebay just in case someone else can use some happy cereal memories. We thought the Washington Senators one was pretty cool, since they no longer exist (we are from the D.C. area originally).
