Posted By: Vanessa Phipps
I recently purchased these cards on EBAY. I thought I would send the fence busters card and the 72 mcovey card into PSA for regrade. They both were rejected for trimming! I also sent the A. Rod card in for regrading too, and it was rejected for trimming as well! Should I try beckett first? Or should I just file my dispute and go on? I have contacted both sellers and they are saying I have no grounds for dispute. Do I? Or dont I? What would you guys do? Thanks!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=300145213965&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=020

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330155989645&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=014

PSA and SGC have been around for a long time. Why would a seller have his cards by a non-mainstream grading company?

Peter C.

Posted By: Paul S
Hi Vanessa -- I'd say don't bother getting them regraded by more respected companies, keep them, and break them out if you feel like it. I'm not sure what recourse you have with a complaint...unless the holders were tampered with.

About getting burned, the same as what Peter said. Plus, it's a sure sign of something wrong if you are not being quickly being bid way up on those kind of cards. It's not the sort of situation where you think you're getting a deal and hardly anyone else has seen it (they've seen it and passed.) Plus, your shipping is $99! I know you've said in the past that you don't care about your pocketbook, but instead think about how many more great quality cards you could get, and know for sure you won't have any problems with them, instead of settling or taking these kinds of chances. Email some of us privately if you don't want to out an auction. We're on your side.

Posted By: Rob
as a minimum, give the other sellers negative feedback if you haven't done so already! Hopefully it'll be a warning sign to future bidders.

After closer examination of the cards, can you tell that they are trimmed?

Rob
