Posted By: Shanon Ping
I also posted this on the regular board, but I am interested in the Postwar card you see the most. I would say the 1958 Mantle All-Star #487.

Posted By: Paul S
Uh, I just saw about 7 Mark Belanger(s), as I'm finally getting around to putting all my Topps 71 in sleeves. This is what happens when you buy (bought -- at that time) wax packs. (The upside is, of course, that I have multiples of many HOFers and stars.) This is probably not what you meant, but it's the best I can do. )

Posted By: nbrazil
hard to say. i would predict any mantle, mays or aaron topps issue in the late 50's, early 60's. there are plenty of these cards in the market...and they are relatively affordable and in high demand.

Maybe the reason is that the picture quality on the Bowman Mays is not great looking to begin with (at least I think not), and so any deterioration seems to detract from it all that much more. Hence, it makes the nicest example all the more desirable.
